The Quinta Gecko Pego Longo
We offer 3 very different options:
– The large house with swimming pool for up to 11 people
– The small studio for 1 to 2 people
– The Glamping experience in a tent for 1 to 4 people
The quinta and its 3 dwellings are located in the heart of the south-western coastal Alentejo, in Portugal’s protected Vicentina Coast Natural Park, in the hamlet of Lameiros, 5 km from the village of Sao Luis in the Alentejo Litoral and around 20 km from Vila Nova de Milfontes.
The surrounding undulating countryside is absolutely magnificent and offers an infinite variety of walks, mountain bike rides and even horse riding. We are located near the ‘Rota Vicentina’. The quinta is isolated in more than 5 hectares of pure nature at +/- 20 km from the magnificent beaches of Vila Nova de Milfontes including the beach of Malhao where surfing is practised, Almograve, Zamobujeira do mar, Porto Covo etc…
The proximity of the Mira river also offers many opportunities for water sports such as paddle and kayak. For your information, many animals are part of the property (horses, dwarf pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, goats, cats and dogs). In short, if you’re looking for a place that’s still authentic and peaceful, if you like to relax by the swimming pool (in the case of the large house) or on the wild, invigorating beaches of the Alentejo, or if you’re keen on hiking, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for here, with zenitude guaranteed!

The house has its own garden, a large mirror pool and several large terraces with barbecue and plancha. We have also created a fully organic vegetable garden where you can buy and choose your own vegetables and fruits, if you so desire.
